The rapid evolution of space missions is driving demand for high-performance electronics capable of operating reliably in the harsh radiation environment of space. However, modern commercial electronics were never designed for these conditions.
Current spacecraft development approaches require building space systems from the component level up using only radiation-hardened or radiation-qualified electronics. This creates long development cycles, capped system performance, rising costs, and constrained supply chains.
The SELENE-Capsule is a non-intrusive enclosure that protects terrestrial electronics from the full range of space-environment effects, without requiring hardware redesign or radiation hardened components. Our patented approach uniquely addresses destructive particle radiation effects by detecting these effects at the particle level and responding in real time to actively mitigate them (U.S Patent 12,554,029 B2).
